Things to do in the Angus Glens
Whether you are here for outdoor pursuits or gentle relaxation, there are plenty of things to do in and around Kirriemuir and the Angus Glens.

This is a spectacular area to visit, with beautiful moorland scenery, towering mountains and winding roads. Our hotel sits at an altitude of about 220 m (700 ft), at the foot of magnificent Glen Doll in the Cairngorms National Park. A haven for walkers and cyclists, there's so much to explore.

The breathtaking beauty of the Scottish countryside surrounds us and there are many wonderful outdoor pursuits available nearby. Whether it's climbing and walking, cycling, fishing or golf, you'll find plenty to keep you busy. Known as the "gateway to the glens", you can easily access many of the Angus Glens from this area. There is also much to see in our local town, Kirriemuir. So be sure to take a look around and discover its history, sites and attractions.
Top attractions in Kirriemuir
If you would like to find out more about the area, we recommend a trip to the Gateway to the Glens Museum in Kirriemuir. The museum contains fascinating displays and information, as well as books of local interest for sale. While in Kirriemuir, pay a visit to the Camera Obscura, an attraction that was gifted to the town in 1930 by Sir J M Barrie, author of Peter Pan. For the kids, there's Neverland Play Park beside it. You can also visit the birthplace of J M Barrie, and see the statue of Peter Pan in the town centre. Other top attractions nearby include the Tayside Police Museum and the spectacular falls of Reekie Lin.
