A pre-North Coast 500 stopover
The North Coast 500 is an amazing Scottish road trip. It forms a loop of just over 500 miles, mostly along Scotland’s north coast, hence the name. The route showcases dramatic coastal scenery, remote beaches, rugged mountains and charming Highland villages. It starts and ends at Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, but many travellers begin their journey further south, heading up from cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow. If that’s your plan, we suggest a stopping point somewhere in between. And Glen Clova is ideal! We are a two-hour drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow, and then it’s a further three hours to Inverness.
