Self Catering Scottish Bunkhouse

A purpose designed conversion of old stone steading buildings providing comfortable economical accommodation. These centrally heated individual units all provide full en-suite facilities.

Bunks are fully bedded with all linen, pillows and cosy duvets.  There are full cooking and eating facilities in a large communal kitchen together with excellent storage and drying facilities.

Dog kenneling is also available for 'family' breaks!! 

There are 5 four person bunkrooms plus a large - 10 person room together with a specially designed bunkroom for 2 persons suitable for a disabled person and carer, with adjacent parking and flat access. We welcome less able visitors and are happy to provide assistance if required.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
All bedding is provided but soap and towels etc. are not.

A fully fitted kitchen provides crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, black bags for waste and washing up products. We do not stock or sell 'packets or tins', but the hotel does offer breakfast, light snacks all day and a full lunch and dinner menu is also available should guests wish to eat in the Hotel. We, are also happy to provide packed lunches if required.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The most beautiful of the Angus Glens, stunning scenery, with views for miles around in all directions. A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Fishing for trout (Brown & Rainbow) is available on Loch Brandy and Loch Heath. Salmon fishing is also available on a six mile stretch of the river South Esk - details from Hotel reception. Fishing tackle can be hired from the Hotel

All the facilities of the Glen Clova Hotel are also available to all guests staying at the steading bunkhouse, including the bars and restaurant. Our Reception desk will be happy to help you enjoy your visit in any way they can.

Individual places can be allocated to guests who may not require a 4 or 10 person room, but guests must appreciate they may be required to share a room with others.

HOW TO GET THERE
The steading is situated in Glen Clova, a very popular area for walking and climbing with access to many different levels of expertise and suitable for the novice up to the more seasoned enthusiast.

From Kirriemuir follow the signposts to 'The Glens' to Dykehead and from there the road directs you to Glen Clova. It is approximately 13 miles from Kirriemuir. A post bus also goes to the Glen daily and returns in the afternoon. Details from Kirriemuir Post Office.
